Winter
The Jordanelle Jewel puts you at the base of one of the most exciting things happening in North American skiing right now - and you do not even need to drive to the lifts.

Deer Valley Resort
Deer Valley has always been known for limiting daily skier numbers, impeccable grooming, and ski-only slopes (no snowboarders). With the Expanded Excellence initiative, the resort has more than doubled in size – adding over 3,700 acres of new terrain, 16 new lifts including a 10-passenger gondola, and more than 130 new trails across four new peaks. At full build-out, Deer Valley will offer over 5,700 acres of skiable terrain served by 37 lifts – and it still caps daily tickets.
Your residence is in the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, the flagship hotel of Deer Valley East Village – the resort’s newest base area. The East Village sits at the base of the expanded terrain, with direct ski access and the Jordanelle Express Gondola nearby. Ski valet and equipment rentals are available right at the hotel.

East Village
Deer Valley East Village is being built as a full village – not just a ski base. At completion it will include over 250,000 square feet of retail and dining, nearly 1,700 residential units, and 68,000 square feet of recreation and wellness space. Some facilities are opening in phases, but the skiing and the Grand Hyatt are operational now. The East Village is accessed directly from US Route 40 – bypassing Park City traffic entirely.

Other Ski Options
Park City Mountain Resort – the largest ski resort in the US – is about 20 minutes from the hotel. Combined with Deer Valley, you have access to well over 7,000 acres of terrain from one area.

Beyond the Slopes
Park City’s Main Street has more than 100 restaurants and shops, and transforms during ski season. The resort shuttle from the Grand Hyatt will get you there. The Sundance Film Festival takes over town every January. For a quieter day, the Heber Valley Railroad offers scenic winter train rides, and Midway is home to the Homestead Crater – a natural hot spring inside a limestone dome where you can swim or soak year-round.
Or just stay at the hotel – the pool and hot tubs are heated, the restaurants and speakeasy are on-site, and the fire pits are the kind of thing you did not know you needed after a day on the mountain.
